We are an arts organization and our art does not exist without people to experience it. As such, we have a duty to be political. Now, the group of people being harassed and the way in which this harassment takes place is not something we can ignore. We fully support the rights of people of color and condemn acts of violence carried out on protestors (and George Floyd and the people before him who were killed because of the color of their skin).

We look to community leaders to guide us, but also understand that some may be tired of explaining this.

As a literary organization, we cannot help but suggest our readers start reading books and articles written by people from the communities whose rights are being ignored.

Those books, besides being informative, and besides the fact that they can help you understand what is going on, are really really good.
