Suddenly millions of people have been stuck home with nothing but their thoughts and abandoned projects. And they will return to those orphaned projects, and re-adopt them. Maybe 2020 will have been a blossoming of creativity as all those projects get done.
A lot of people are feeling scared, and a lot are feeling some relief. The fact is, there is a lot of work we have to do this upcoming year. At the same time, we need to celebrate our victories.
Feeling depressed, like what we do is never enough, is letting THEM win. It is what THEY want. I don’t know if THEY exist, or if THEY are some amorphous entity made almost entirely of Twitter-bots designed to sew discord. But we need to sit back and enjoy ourselves, even if it means looking at something hard. Even if it means looking at something pretty.
